"Run on the Wind: Engineering a Clean Tomorrow" summer camp, Texas Tech University (2009–2010)

  • I served as a judge for the Capital District Wind Challenge, the regional event of the national KidWind program, hosted at Sand Creek Middle School in the South Colonie School District. Middle-school students designed, built, and tested model wind turbines and defended their engineering decisions to a panel of judges (2026).
  • Our collaborative work with the Dutch Olympic sailing team was covered by SURF — “On track for gold” (PDF, SURF Magazine, March 2020) — and by TU Delft’s Delta (in Dutch). See also the Olympics 2020 forecast archive.
  • With the Institute for the Development and Enrichment of Advanced Learners (IDEAL) and Prof. Robert McComb (Economics & Geography) at Texas Tech University, I co-directed the “Run on the Wind: Engineering a Clean Tomorrow” summer camp for middle- and high-school students (2009, 2010).
